Alejandro Meola presents his new single “Viejo Teléfono” on Thursday, September 24th live at the Santa Cruz Public Library 5pm - 224 Church St, Santa Cruz, CA. Celebrating cultural diversity on Hispanic Heritage Month with a bilingual fusion of Latin, Rock, Blues, Folk and World sounds. No cover, FREE admission event.
Alejandro Meola is an independent Argentine-American guitarist, singer, songwriter and educator. Based in the NY/NJ area since 2013, he was included on NPR’s World Cafe Best New Latinx playlist and has performed across the US, Europe and Latin America in cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Paris, Barcelona, Mexico and Buenos Aires.
His new single “Viejo Teléfono” (Old Phone) is a guitar-driven suave reggae song longing for connection, spirit and unity now streaming on all digital platforms.
The songwriter will also be revisiting tunes like “LUX”, “La Inmigración”, “Tiempos Difíciles” and “Gente Rota” on a tour that will take him throughout the US from Coast to Coast, including 7 dates in California:

This new single follows the path of his previous releases “Electro Folk”, “VIVO” and “Sed De Nacer” where Meola explores new soundscapes only with guitar and vocals. “Lately I had the opportunity to travel quite a bit and on the road tried to sort out the songs with less, searching for their most essential form”, he shared.
National Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual event in the United States observed from September 15 to October 15 that honors the culture, history and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean as well as Central and South America.
